Tree House

September 2020

Brief

The brief outlined a project that focussed on atmosphere and the specific need and interests of the client. There was a range of clients to choose from all of which where chefs who work in fast pace high stress environments so a big challenge for this project was identifying how to create a relaxed environment specifically for them. The finished outcome was a series of mood boards that show the progression from research to a finished collaged model.

The Outcome

My client was Tom Kerridge and through my research I was able to identify key interests and in turn aesthetics thet would link to his home life and needs for a space. The key influences that I identified were his family and his love for gusto cooking. These influences lead me to create a space that was not only for Tom but for his whole family. The materials and aesthetics  are linked to the styles you would see in the high end pubs he works in and the sort of atmosphere you get as a family visiting the pub. The model I created as my final outcome was created using a digital collage I made on Photoshop and then cut up and create the 3D collage model you can see here.
